This is new

‘Totally in love’ - that was the first reaction from our production team to the new disana colours.

And really, our new world of colours for the disana Autumn | Winter 25|26 collection is something to fall in love with.

Five new colours have found their way into the disana range. From indigo blue to soft pink. We have never had so many new, fantastically beautiful colours in a collection change before. We are certainly setting trends again with these colours, which will soon be seen throughout the industry.

In the coming season, we are once again focussing entirely on fine merino wool from controlled organic husbandry. All our items are certified according to the GOTS standard and the even higher IVN BEST standard.

And it's not just our colour palette that's new.

With our college jacket, a completely new style has found its way into the disana programme. It is our interpretation of this classic - naturally made entirely from our favourite material, soft boiled wool fabric. This is also the material from which our new wool trousers are made. They have a completely new cut, are specially lined in the sensitive areas and, thanks to the elasticated waistband, do not need any straps.

Both items are representative of the many, many new products in our range for Autumn | Winter 25|26, because unfortunately there is not enough space here to list them all.

Our fine disana boiled wool and wool knit fabrics offer almost endless possibilities for transforming the advantages of natural wool into woolly, warm clothing.

In order to make the feeling of wearing soft merino wool really close to the skin, our developers have also worked their magic on the lining fabric of our lined wool items. These now all come with a super-soft wool jersey made from the finest merino wool. This makes our woollen items even more comfortable to wear and, as they are made from 100% pure new wool, they are also easier to care for.

Discover our range of outerwear made from fine merino wool for the littlest ones. From July 2025, we will be offering a selection of baby knitwear in sizes 50/56 to 86/92 in our disana stock programme. These items are available regardless of the season and harmonise perfectly with the existing disana collections. Clothing and textiles made from fine merino wool are ideal for meeting the high warmth requirements of babies and toddlers. Due to their comparatively large body surface area, children need significantly more warmth than adults. Pure merino wool stores thousands of tiny air bubbles between the fibres, which form an insulating layer and prevent body heat from escaping. This keeps woollen clothing warm without overheating.

That's why our organic merino wool is so incredibly important:

Wool has a calming effect on the body. Babies wrapped in wool are calmer, sleep more deeply, but are also more alert. This unique feel-good effect cannot be found in any other fibre. The natural vibration of materials plays an important role in many natural philosophical teachings. We are also convinced that our organic wool carries its own ‘vitality’, which can be felt when wearing our disana garments. This vitality has a stimulating, but also calming and relaxing effect on the wearer of woollen clothing. We rely entirely on the fine wool of Merino sheep for our disana items. This is because the hair of this breed of sheep is so thin, only a few micrometres in diameter, that it cannot stand up on its own. This means that the wool hairs always lie flat and only touch the skin with their long side, not with the prickly fibre tips. This is a truly ‘fine’ difference to many other types of wool.

Bringing the world of disana children's clothing to life for us adults too. The disana women's and men's articles were born from this idea. To feel for yourself how soft and supple fine, natural merino wool can be. To experience how the interplay of wool fibres and the air bubbles trapped in them warms you when you wear boiled wool articles. To feel how stimulating and yet calming wool is for us humans. This is what disana men's and women's items are made for. Thousands of tiny air bubbles are trapped in the fabric during the boiling process. They form an insulating air cushion that prevents body heat from escaping into the environment. Our boiled wool fabric therefore does not warm itself. It prevents body heat from being released into the environment and thus keeps us ‘at temperature’. It is a kind of heat trap that reliably protects us even on cold days.

The fact that we use a knitted woollen fabric for our boiled wool fabric has even more advantages. Knitted fabrics are very elastic due to the curved shape of their stitches. This property is also retained in our boiled wool fabrics. They are more flexible and elastic and therefore more versatile than, for example, a loden fabric made from a woven base fabric. During the felting process, the wool fibres become so firmly interlocked that no more stitches of the original knitted fabric can come undone. This means that we can cut our boiled wool fabrics safely and do not have to sew the cut edges to prevent the fabric from unravelling. This ‘open-edged’ processing offers our designers additional design options. New ways to make our disana women's and men's items even more beautiful, even more elegant, even more fashionable.
